Obituary for Wendy Alice Boye (Sarasin)

Wendy Boye (nee Sarasin) of Innisfail passed away Monday, July 10,2017. She is survived by her four children: Laura Wallace, Michelle Thiem, Jason Howse and Lisa Dawson, as well as 9 grandchildren and 2 great grandchildren. Wendy grew up in Red Deer with a passion for science and a lifelong love of learning. Her heart was big and she was very loving towards God's creatures- from raising piglets, to baby mice in a shoebox . Nothing made her quite as happy as videotaping her family and nature( as well as a great deal of the floor), nurturing a tremendous garden fit to feed 5 ravenous children, and conducting research. She was a very charismatic and feisty lady who inspired others and never backed away from a fight, but rather met it head on( or rather chest to eye on, as she was very short.)
You were well loved Wendy, and your family left behind takes solace in the fact that you will be rejoining your husband Ken, who has no doubt been wearing his slippers outside and tracking mud all over the place without you to set him straight. Your parents, Clyde and Lyla Sarasin, as well as your brothers John and David are waiting to take you back into their arms.
A very special thank you goes out to the staff and volunteers at the Red Deer Hospice, whose tender care, compassion and humor gave our mother a measure of peace in her final days. Service will be held July 20 at 2 pm at the Church of the Nazarene in Innisfail.
