It is with sadness we announce the passing of Ellen Marie Power née Bezzanno. Ellen fought a brave and courageous battle. Her love of life, strength and positive outlook was and should be an inspiration to all. She leaves behind her husband Humphrey, son Clinton (Stephanie), brother John (Maureen), niece Kerry (Shane), Erin, Keira, Meghan and the Power family, her parents who passed George (2008) and Annie (1985) Bezzanno. Born in Ireland, October 6, 1956 – Born to eternity February 10, 2017. Ellen wanted to share this in her words: I would like to say you that I am such a fortune woman to have had the love of my life with me on this journey from beginning to end. We were so blessed to bring into this world our son Clinton John a gentleman and as he likes to say a “Mommy’s boy” with a wicked sense of humour. Humphrey called us the 3 Amigos. Both of these fine men enriched my life and made me the woman I am. I have met and have had many people come into my life be it for a short time or with us all these years but my dearest friend Barb (Harold) were in our lives for decades. We laughed, cried and shared memories that will live on forever. The Power family as we grew up and went through thick and thin together but during these times we made wonderful memories be it camping, fishing, laughing and enjoying life. I cannot forget to thank the extraordinary medical team that were with and beside me and my family during this time. A very special thank you to Dr. Rob Warren, Dr. Lance Frieberger, Shala Macdonald and the Moose & Squirrel staff, the Sundre Hospital, Dr. Ryan McColl - Surgeon (Red Deer), and Dr. El-Gehani, Oncologist, Cancer Centre Red Deer. My thanks to everyone that was and still is a part of our lives as Humphrey and Clinton will need your support. Hug the ones you love tightly and appreciate the moments you have on this earth. Take good care of each other, Ellen. In keeping with Ellen’s wishes, no service will be held.
