The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of Sylvia Mathon can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Condolence From: Brenda Allen
Condolence: My condolences to Sylvia’s family, I am saddened to hear of your loss.

I knew Sylvia through her volunteer position as treasurer of the Innisfail & District Agricultural Society. She was very capable, intelligent and had a sense of humour. Above all she had integrity. It was a pleasure to work with and know Sylvia.

Condolence: Our sincere condolences to the Mathon Family. Sylvia was a very sincere, dedicated and generous volunteer who truly believed that working together we can do so much more. The 4-H world was blessed in having Sylvia as a volunteer, a mentor, and an inspiration.

Condolence: "Our pasts should always be remembered, for in those memories we live on."

I had the pleasure of meeting Sylvia through both the 4-H Leaders Conference and the Annual Agency Societies Conference. No matter the theme, Sylvia was always dressed to the part. Her enthusiasm and dedication to Agriculture in Alberta is something that I will always admire and aspire to. Her enegery will be missed at these events, but I am sure we will still feel her spirit join us in future occasions.

Condolence: My sincerest sympathy to the Mathon families. I don't know you personally; however, I had the privilege of meeting Sylvia through 4-H Beef. I believe my children Tony and Janine also knew this family. God Bless you all and keep the wonderful memories close to your hearts.
