It is with great sadness that the family of Lavern Smith announces his passing on July 3, 2016 at the age of 51 years. Lavern was a friendly, gentle soul that touched the lives of many. He was a wonderful husband, dad, grandpa, uncle and friend to so many. Lavern lived a life full of love for his family. He will be truly missed but the memories we have will remain in our hearts forever. Lavern will be lovingly remembered by his wife Ronda; 4 sons Devon, Nick, Justin (Shannon), Jon; grandchildren Aubree and Owen; his dad Vernon; brother Harvey as well as numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. His was predeceased by his daughter Alysha Nuttal, brother Brian Pollard and his mother Irene. A Celebration of Lavern’s Life was held on Monday, July 11, 2016 at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #105, Olds. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to Lavern’s sons or the Canadian Diabetes Association.
