Neil was my first trainer. As you were leaving Picture Butte I was arriving from Depot on what would be an interesting career. My first tour of the area was on a snowy February day with Neil and my first prairie coffee shop meeting with local farmers was with Neil. A calm and focused man. These are just some memories he left with me and I send my best wishes and thoughts to you at the loss of a good man. - Ewen Harvie, ret'd

Sorry I won't be at the service. I worked for Neil when he owned the Mohawk station in Olds, many years ago. I have thought about Neil many times since I moved out of the area. So sorry to hear of his passing. He was a good and fair man, a real gentleman. My condolences to the family.

Thank you, Terry. Your help at the station has never been forgotten and I know how much my Dad appreciated you. Stacey & Family

My dear friend Neil, you will always be missed and remembered in the most loving and fond way. Neil was one of the best friends that anyone could ever wish to have, hard worker and skilled man in many different ways. We spent many hours working together and spent many hours sitting along a cut-line in the bush calling moose. I will always miss that smile . Rest in peace my friend, I will miss you greatly

Our family always remember how much fun you two had together! I remember our camping trips, the 'unique' way of starting the campfire and the enormous amount of food you could eat when we went out for Chinese at the local restaurant. Take care, Dan. Stacey & Family

Well the first time I was arrested was by Neil... Who would have thought at that moment his son would become one of my closest friends and I’d be helping them paint their house in Vegreville years later! Was always funny and had something to say on any subject that might come up. He will be missed as a friend and respected as a great man.

Thank you Boyd.
