Obituary for Valdemar Richard "Scotty" Nordquist

Valdemar "Scotty" Richard Nordquist was born on April 18.1931 in North Star, Alberta. He passed away on July 4, 2019 at the Bethany Care Centre in Didsbury. Scotty's professional trade was a carpenter working for the Government of Alberta where he was the main foreman for the reconstruction of the South Alberta Jubilee in Calgary, the Calgary Court House, the Horticultural Research Centre in Brooks as well as many other projects around the province. After retiring , he purchased Bell Taxi in Calgary, and being mechanically inclined he maintained the fleet of vehicles. Scotty eventually sold the Taxi business and moved to Priddis, Alberta for a short time. He moved back to Calgary and met his loving, faithful partner Adoration of 20 years. Scotty built a home on a acreage that he purchased in the Sundre area. He sold the acreage and return to Calgary after the passing of Adoration. He spent the last 18 months at the Bethany Care in Didsbury. Along Scotty's journey of life, he touched the lives of numerous people. He had a caring heart and was a generous, caring man. Scotty loved to visit with people and always wanted to lend a helping hand. He was predeceased by his partner Adoration; grandmother; his father and mother; step-father and sister. He will be missed by all who knew him. At Scotty's request there will be no service.In memory of Scotty memorial tributes can be made to the charity of ones choice.
