VELMA MARGRETE HOCKRIDGE
1929 - 2019
Velma Hockridge (Aspenes) of Red Deer County, Alberta passed away at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on May 2, 2019 at the age of 90 years. Velma was born and raised in the Camrose area. She attended both the Camrose Lutheran College and Vermillion School of Agriculture. She was married to Arvid Sjerdal her loving husband of 33 years (deceased) and to her second loving husband LaVern Hockridge for 16 years (deceased). She is lovingly remembered by her son Phillip Sjerdal (April Reeves) of Red Deer County, Ab., son Marvin Sjerdal (Elizabeth) of Richmond, B.C. daughter Ann Sjerdal of Red Deer County, AB. and only granddaughter Molly Sjerdal of Vancouver, B.C. She will also be lovingly remembered by her brother Wilfred and wife Lois Aspenes of Camrose as well as numerous relatives the Aspenes, Sjerdal and Hockridge families. Velma is to be interred at the Ocean View Cemetery in Burnaby, B.C. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of their choice.
