Obituary for Carol Ann Poczapski (Lutz)
CAROL ANN POCZAPSKI
1950 – 2019
Carol Poczapski of Innisfail, Alberta passed away peacefully at the Innisfail Rosefield Care Centre on Monday, January 14, 2019 at the age of 68 years. Carol was born in Innisfail, Alberta to parents August and Minnie Lutz, the youngest of four daughters. She grew up on the family farm in the Glenellen District east of Innisfail. Carol married the love of her life Art Poczapski in 1975 and enjoyed nearly 40 years of happiness with this loving and care-giving man. As Carol’s health deteriorated further, she moved into the Rosefield Care Centre in Innisfail, where Carol received excellent care for the past 14 years and formed many lasting friendships with the caregivers there.
Carol will be lovingly remembered by her sister: Janet (Roger) Andrews, and numerous nieces and nephews. Carol will be sadly missed by her cousin Judy (Earl) Dreeshen and the Dreeshen, Moore and Langevin families as well as her many friends at the Rosefield Care Centre. Carol was predeceased by her loving husband: Art Poczapski, her parents: August and Minnie Lutz, sisters: Mary Lutz and Dorothy Lura and her brother in law John Lura. A Memorial Service will be held at the Heartland Funeral Services Chapel, Innisfail, Alberta on Tuesday, January 22, 2019 at 10:00 a.m. Memorial tributes may be made to the Innisfail Rosefield Care Centre.
