James (Jim) Richard Church
In loving memory of Jim Church February 3 1938 to March 15 2018.
Jim will be lovingly remembered by his wife Linda Church; son Greg (Pamala) Church; granddaughter Shelby Hays (Johnny); grandsons Andrew Church and Peyton Church, Blayze Bloomfield, Rhett Bloomfield and Marshall Bloomfield; stepsons Jay (Sherry) Westwood, Jody Westwood; step-grandchildren Matthew Westwood, Tanner Westwood, Isabella Westwood and Sophia Westwood. Jim leaves behind a large extended family including Koraley (Cliff) Wallace, Lynda Hararsym, Judy Harasym (Brian Berge), Faith Harasym, Lorrie (Jack) Morris and many nieces and nephews. He was predeceased by daughter Patricia Hays, parents Janet Jobagy and James Church; stepfather John Jobagy and brother in law Rudy Harasym. Jim was a long time farmer and business owner in the Bowden area. Greg and family continue to operate this 4th generation family farm. Jim was also a Municipal Judge. Once Jim retired he and Linda spent their days golfing, travelling, wintering in Arizona and enjoying happy hour with friends and family. Jim also enjoyed mastering the art of cooking. Jim battled several illnesses over the past five years and left us peacefully in the early hours of March 15, 2018. A celebration of Jim’s life will be on Wednesday, March 28, 2018 at 1:00 p.m. at Heartland Funeral Services Chapel, Olds. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to Foothills Hospital ICU, Calgary.
