Vaun Joseph Stonehocker
1943 – 2017
Vaun passed away peacefully in the Innisfail Hospital after a lengthy battle with prostate cancer and rheumatoid arthritis. Vaun was the third child of nine born to Joe and LaVern Stonehocker on June 14th, 1943 in Bonneyville, Alberta. Vaun met the love of his life, Vicki Harlan, and they were married on June 2, 1966. After teaching a short time in the Yukon they settled in Innisfail where he taught Industrial Arts. Vaun is survived by his wife Vicki; his children Van (Leona), Val (Joanne), Valerie (Matt), Valene (Derek); 12 grandchildren; 3 great-grandchildren and 7 brothers. He was predeceased by his parents and only sister Loya. Funeral services will be held on Saturday December 23, 2017 at 10:00 a.m. at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, Innisfail. Interment to follow in the Innisfail Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Innisfail Food Bank.
