The Memorial Candle Program has been designed to help offset the costs associated with the hosting this Tribute Website in perpetuity. Through the lighting of a memorial candle, your thoughtful gesture will be recorded in the Book of Memories and the proceeds will go directly towards helping ensure that the family and friends of "Vern" Luvern Dye can continue to memorialize, re-visit, interact with each other and enhance this tribute for future generations.

Thank you.

Loved by all!

We did not come to know Vern until he married my dear friend Dorothy. There was a connection with the family many years earlier as our daughter Kelsie joined the girls club at the Baptist Church and Ruth was her secret Grandmother. Kelsie always spoke of what a lovely secret grandma she had. I worked with Dorothy at the hospital and I remember Dorothy telling me about this man she met, I believe at a bible study. She would talk about how he was so kind, gentle, and so much fun! I was so happy when Dorothy and Vern started seeing each other as they seemed so happy and good together. Vern consistently demonstrated his love for his Saviour, Jesus Christ. Vern was such an awesome guy! He always had a story to tell with a chuckle and a glint in his eye, always up for fun!! I loved Verns kind, gentle ways and he had such a gift of being genuinely concerned and caring of others. He would always ask how we were, and our family was, with genuine love and concern. I am thankful for the years that Vern and Dorothy had together. They had many happy years and were so good together. Dorothy was devoted to Vern and loved and cared for him no matter what the situation. Visiting Vern in the hospital each day and always looking out for him. I will ever remember Vern with his glint of fun in his eyes, his gentle, kind manners, and his love of God. Rest in peace our dear Vern!! Sandi and Gene Hallett
