Brian “Barney” Ruttle
1954 – 2017

Brian passed away peacefully with his wife Monique by his side on July 12, 2017 at the age of 62 years.
Brian was raised in Markerville, Alberta and attended Spruce View School. In his younger years Brian spent time playing ball and curling in Markerville. He loved his golf which has taken him to many destinations. Brian also loved hockey, especially his favorite team the Chicago Blackhawks and could often be seen wearing Blackhawks attire. Forty two years ago Brian went to work at Ruttle Electric with his father Bryce. Twenty five years ago he bought the business from Bryce and successfully ran it until he was unable to work during his brief illness with ALS.
He leaves behind his wife Monique of 18 years and his stepsons: Kevin Patenaude (Robyn) and their daughter Aliyah; Steve Patenaude (Emmanuelle) and their daughter Julyann.
He also leaves behind his mother: Bonnie Ruttle and sisters: Bev Harbourne and Belinda Hanson and numerous aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Brian was predeceased by his father Bryce and a sister Brenda Williams.
A Celebration of Brian’s life will be held at the Royal Canadian Legion, Branch #104 Innisfail on Friday July 21, 2017 from 2:00 – 5:00 p.m. If friends so desire, memorial tributes may be made to the ALS Society of Alberta.
