Mrs. Dorothy Helen (Sutherland) Evans of
Carstairs, AB passed away peacefully on
Wednesday, May 24, 2017 at the age of 80 years.
She will be deeply missed and forever remembered
by her daughters and granddaughter and all who
knew her. She is survived by her daughters Lorelei
Ness, Michelle Evans and Beverly Evans, as well as
granddaughter Nicole Ness, her sisters Nora Evans,
and Jean Francis (Owen), and her brother Robert
(Bob) Sutherland (Shirley). She was predeceased by
her husband Charles Evans, as well as her parents
Edith (Postlethwaite) and John Sutherland, and
her brother John (Joe) Sutherland. Dorothy loved
to bake, knit and work in the garden. She loved to
listen to music and dance. Her pride and joy was her
daughters and her granddaughter who she always
said was her little angel with black wings. The love
she had for her large family of brothers and sisters,
in-laws and nieces, nephews and cousins filled her
life with joy. She always thought more for others
than she did for herself. To honour Dorothy’s kind
heart, the family asks that memorial donations be
made to your favourite charity in lieu of flowers.

A memorial service for Dorothy Evans will be held
at the Carstairs Half Century Club, 1139 Osler Street,
Carstairs on Friday June 2, 2017 at 2:00 p.m.
