Life Story for Rienold William Fecho

Rienold William Fecho
Rienold William Fecho passed away on September 22nd, 2016 in the Hanna Long Term Center at the age of 83. He moved from the Hanna Lodge in July and was then under the care of the Hanna Hospital and Long Term Care.
Rienold was predeceased by his parents, William Rienold and May, as well as brothers Gerald and Alfred. Also predeceased by son Terrance, former spouse Frieda and special friend Val Rekiel.
Rienold is survived by sons Larry (Lynne) and Gary (Nancy), daughters Linda McCormack (Richard), Glenda Ward, Kathy Fecho-Plante (Kevin), grandchildren, sisters Lillian Weich (Dan), Marlene Bye (Bart) and brothers Lloyd (Geri), Benny (Maxine) and Lawrence (Donna).
Rienold was born in the Hanna area, where as a young man he also worked in farming and construction. He was married in 1954 to Frieda Nill. Operating bulldozer and various construction equipment became his career. The family moved to Sherwood Park in 1967 as Rieny continued in the construction business, sometimes working alongside his brothers Alfred and Lloyd. Rienold eventually moved back to the Hanna area and continued as an equipment operator. He was a respected equipment operator and continued to operate until his mid-70’s. Even after his Doctor suggested he not drive his truck any longer this past summer, his main worry was that he may need it to get to work if he could pick up a little operating job.
In 2008, Rieny’s special friend Val passed away and later that year Rienold was hospitalized for a period of time. He then moved into the Hanna Lodge where he enjoyed playing music with his nephew Mark Fecho and brothers Alfred and Lloyd. Those were very special days as Rienold took great pleasure in being able to play music alongside his family and local musicians who frequently included him. There will be a celebration of songs in memory of Reinold on Oct 29th at the Hanna Senior Circle at 7:pm for those who wish to attend.
Special thanks to the staff at the Hanna Hospital and Long Term care. They cared and kidded with him to make the best of his final days.
