Obituary for Bill Ivan

William (Bill) Ivan
March 3 1934- February 22 2016

After a short battle with leukaemia, Billy passed away peacefully into the realm of his heavenly Father. Where in time, we will meet him again. He lived a life rich and satisfying, seeing countless dreams and wishes come true; from raising eight amazing children in the healthiest environment of farm life to success and prosperity in his life's work.
Farming was his life's work, and he lived the seasons as they came and went, watching the seeds he planted and cared for grow into hardy crops. He was a good farmer, having nothing but clean fields, and good equipment and a nice home and yard. Animals were a large part of his life; cattle for income and always horses to help with the cattle and enjoy activities with. Rodeos, saddle club, and just riding the coolies were a big part of his family life.
He enjoyed also, in his younger years downhill skiing, golfing, boating and waterskiing with the family. He traveled to Europe, Hawaii, and points in the U.S.
He taught himself leather tooling and this by the light of a mantle lamp before we had power.
His life went smoothly through stages of progress, from seeing his Dad farming with horses, to modern day, making many memories which he enjoyed recalling.
He loved westerns and country music. Always he was interested in each child, grandchild, and now the great grandchildren. A home where all could gather was foremost for him and he was present at all get togethers. If anyone ever needed anything, he could find it at a discounted price. He will be missed by Value Village, and "Sally Ann." He will leave a large void, and his cooking will be missed. He enjoyed coffeeing with his friends.
He leaves behind his wife Ann of sixty years, seven children, Shannon (Sherry), Larry (Kelly), Randy (Mona), Mandy (Tim), Tim, Sara, and Vanessa. Nine grandchildren, Colin (Christie), Shaun (Jill), Ryan (Jessica), Conlee, Chelsee, Cassie, Katarina, and Quinton. Six great grandchildren, Ember, Ashlyn, and River, Brady and Bella, and Jesse. And one brother Albert (Isabel).
He was predeceased by a son, Les, in '08, an infant son Michael '67, his parents Steve and Elizabeth, parents in-law, Abram and Katarina Braun. One sister, Mary '10 and a brother, Leslie, in '49. A memorial service will be held on Friday, February 26, 2016 at 11:00am at Our Lady Of Peace Catholic Church.
