Mary Irene Young
June 28, 1962 – August 13, 2011
It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved Mary on Saturday, August 13, 2011 at the age of 49 years. Her memory will be cherished by her loving husband Ken; her mother Irene (Mac) Armstrong; brother Norman (Sara) of Brooks; sister Reta (Ken) of Brooks; Ken’s parents Kenneth & Arlene Quirk of Parksville, B.C.; brother in law Ron (Brenda) and their children Madison and Megan; sister in law Judy (Mike) and their children Breanne and Ryan; step children Ashley (Stewart), Nicole and Mary’s special grandchild Paige; special nephews and nieces, Jeffrey (Dawn) and their children Jayce and Brooke, Brian, Mareta (Dan), Lorna and Scott. She is predeceased by her father Norrie Young in 1991 and her brother Stewart in 2007 also 49 years of age.
A memorial service will be held at Metcalf Funeral Chapel on Saturday, August 20, 2011 at 2:00pm. Her ashes will be laid to rest alongside her brother Stewart at the Innisfail Cemetery Columbarium. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to the Multiple Sclerosis Society.
