LAWRENCE WILFRED GRAHAM
1925 - 2018
Mr. Lawrence Graham passed away at the Innisfail Health Care Centre on June 24, 2018 at the age of 93 years. Lawrence was born in Innisfail, Alberta to his parents Annie and Edward and was raised on the family farm in the Big Bend area where he also took his schooling. He did attend Olds College after his schooling and came back to Big Bend and spent his entire life up until his passing on the family farm. Lawrence was very active participant in the Markerville and the Innisfail Curling Clubs, the Big Bend Community, Markerville baseball clubs, the Alberta Short Horn Association, with whom he is a member of long standing. He also was active with the Canadian Seed Growers Association and active with the Innisfail Municipal Seed Cleaning Plant. Lawrence was an exceptional farmer, he was a breeder of registered Shorthorn Cattle and grew pedigreed seed. His great sense of humor will be sadly missed by all who knew him.
Lawrence is survived by one niece Elaine (Bodwell) Whitford, and four nephews: Lorne Bodell, Kent Bodell, Keven Graham and Egan Bodell and their spouses and families and a sister in law Clara. He was predeceased by his parents, two sisters: Emma and Mary and a brother Douglas.
A Celebration of Lawrence’s Life will be held at the Double Tree Museum (Ray & Anna Stanton) five miles west of Spruce View on August 14, 2018 at 1:30 p.m. Interment will be held at the Innisfail Cemetery at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, please bring a story to share at his Celebration of Life.
