Barbara was predeceased by her loving husband of 35 years, Reynie Lutz, as well as her first husband Robert Dixon, her parents Ken and Winnifred Simon, brother Jack Simon, nephew Brodie Lutz, sisters-in-law Elsie Zimmerman and Alma Robinson.

Barbara was a woman of remarkable resilience and infinite kindness. She was completely devoted to her family - an amazing mother and daughter, compassionate and creative teacher, accommodating hostess, master organizer, talented musician, and queen of cookies. She loved living out on the farm where it was peaceful and serene, but also loved to socialize and always had stories and pictures to share.

A Celebration of Barbara's life will be held at the Innisfail United Church Wednesday, January 3, 2018 at
2:00 pm.

The family wishes to thank the staff at Sunset Manor for their care of Barbara over the last five years.

In lieu of flowers, donations in her memory can be made to the Alzheimer Society of Alberta and NWT or a charitable organization of the donor's choice.
