KENDAL S. RUMRILL
1925 – 2017
Mr. Kendal Rumrill passed away at Olds, Alberta on October 21, 2017 at the age of 92 years.
Kendal was predeceased by his loving wife Coreli, his son in law Walter Wojtowich and his grandson Corey Ancelot. He leaves behind his four children: Vivian Wojtowich, Royal (Linda) Rumrill, Kendra (Miles) Frank, Carol ( Jim) Hageman, eight grandchildren: Mardie (David), Cristy, Richard (Melissa), Shane, Rodney (Kerry), Karroll (John), Karlene (Steve), Kaycie and Jordan and fourteen great grandchildren. Kendal was a loving, caring beautiful soul who put family above all else. He was a man of honor and he served his country in WW II in the Royal Canadian Navy and the Army reserves for many years after. Kendal also drove milk truck and was the head caretaker in the Calgary school system for many years. He had a big heart and spent countless weekends, even after retirement, painting and doing repairs on fences for seniors, mostly widows from his church and the school community.
Kendal loved camping, especially with his children and grandchildren. He loved being in the water. He was an avid water skier back in his youth. His last waterskiing with his children and grandchildren was at the age of 70 years. Kendal was a man of very strong faith and he and his wife Coreli spent many years helping fund an orphanage in the Ukraine.
