Ron was a loving husband and father with a passion for golf, fishing, carpentry, and inventions. Born in Hay Lakes, he married Gertrude Metzker in 1957 and spent the last 50 years living in Olds. He is survived by his wife Gertrude; daughters Lori Bryan and Shelley (Andrew) Zucht-Shorter; three grandchildren Nathan Bartley, Tyler Bartley and Molly Shorter; brothers Gordon and Lorne (Marg) Zucht. A Celebration of Life was held on Saturday February 25, 2017 at the St. Paul’s Lutheran Church, Olds. Memorial tributes may be made directly to the Alberta Heart and Stroke Foundation.
