Obituary for Robert Charles Falconer

Early in the morning of September 19, Bob Falconer went home to be with his Lord and Saviour at the age of 73. He ended his journey on earth with his wife Shirley holding his hand, and his daughters by his side.
Robert Charles Falconer was born on August 10, 1942 in Swift Current, SK to Charles and Elsa Falconer and grew up in Lethbridge, AB. He met his sweetheart Shirley Stewart at Canadian Bible College (now Ambrose University College) in Regina, SK and they were married in August 1966. Bob served as pastor in Portage La Prairie, MB, La Ronge, SK., Winnipeg, MB., Flin Flon, MB., Revelstoke, B.C., and Regina, SK. He also worked as a Counselor in churches and in a practice. He helped many people with his godly wisdom and caring manner. In 2009, Bob and Shirley moved to Innisfail. Bob found much pleasure in spending time with family and friends and building projects in his workshop. He especially loved making clocks.
Bob leaves behind many who will miss him dearly: Shirley, his devoted wife of 49 years; daughters Juanita (David) Moorhead, Valerie (Robert) Verity and Tammy (Scott) Leonard; grandchildren Morgan (Steven) Florko, Zachary (Katrina) Moorhead, Dakota Moorhead, Medea & Quinn Leonard and Julia & Adam Verity, who all loved Bompa very much. He is survived by brothers George and Ron (Phyllis) and sister Gael (Don) Matsune as well as many nieces and nephews who were all his favorites. He was predeceased by his sister and brother in law Grace & Bill Irwin as well as sister in law Bernice. The funeral service will be held at the Innisfail Alliance Church on Friday, September 25, 2015 at 1:00pm with interment in Gull Lake, SK at a later date. In lieu of flowers memorial donations may be made to Ambrose University College in Calgary or to Crossroads Christian Communications in Burlington, ON.
