January 9, 2015 – Olds, Alberta, Canada
Emilie Odersky (nee Aschenbrenner) beloved wife of Klaus Odersky of Olds, passed away at the Olds Hospital at the age of 85 years. Besides her loving husband Klaus, she is survived by her children Monika (Stephen) Horne, Ernst (Tammy) Odersky and Evelyn (Gerald) Smith; younger brother Fritz Aschenbrenner; eight grandchildren, Stacy (Nathan) Anderson & Christina Horne; Jessica, Sara & Rachel Odersky; Jordan, Britni & Dayna Smith; five great grandchildren, Jonathan, Brayden, Allison, Lilley and Quinn Anderson. There are also numerous cousins, nieces and nephews located in Alberta as well as Germany and Switzerland. Emilie spent most of her life as a caring mother, supporting those in need and volunteering her time in the community of Olds and also in her Church. She also enjoyed what she and her husband worked so hard for in life; the farm and later the acreage. Her greatest pride was her gardens and all the lovely flowers that grew from it. She also had a great passion for entertaining with wonderful friends and relatives throughout her life. Funeral Mass will be held on Wednesday January 14, 2015 at 1:00 p.m. at St. Stephen’s Catholic Church, Olds. Interment to follow at the Olds Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial tributes may be made directly to the Olds & District Hospice Society.
